Geothermal Heat to Power

Geothermal energy is an underutilized renewable resource with the potential to be a significant baseload power technology together with hydro and nuclear power. An advantage of ORC geothermal power productions is that is not weather dependent renewable technology such as wind and solar who present high variability and intermittence of power production and in many cases require additional investments to balance the grid.

Eurekas ORC systems is suitable for low and medium geothermal fluid <160 °C. Our systems could be optimized to utilize most of the energy potential in the geothermal stream to power production before recycling the stream to the ground or to limit the temperature drop of the geothermal fluid and supply warm water to other heat consumers e.g. District heat, Greenhouse heating, fishponds, cooling systems etc

Another potential is existing geothermal power or heating plants with high temperature systems, who could improve the efficiency with a Eureka low temperature ORC system to utilize the down-stream geothermal fluid before it is re-injected into the ground.
